We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their ability, device or connection.

Our aim

Grace Impact Global Foundation wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and a “Skip to content” link jumps past the menu.
  • Text and buttons have strong colour contrast, and text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content.
  • Pages fit small screens without scrolling sideways.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions, and headings and landmarks give each page a clear structure for screen readers.
  • Forms have clear labels, say which fields are required and explain any mistake in words, not by colour alone.
  • Animations switch off when your device asks for reduced motion, and all content is visible without them. The banner photos, the home page's included, still fade from one to the next, without zooming.
  • The body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed to be easy to read for people with low vision.

How we tested

We checked every page with automated accessibility testing (axe-core) against WCAG 2.2 AA, at desktop, tablet and phone sizes and in each interactive state, such as open menus, pop-ups and form errors, and fixed every issue it found. We also checked that every control can be reached and used with a keyboard.

Known limitations

  • The photos at the top of our pages, the home page included, change by themselves every few seconds, with no button to pause them. They stop while scrolled out of view, and they carry no information that is not also in the page text.
  • Links to other services, such as social media and WhatsApp, lead to websites we do not control, and their accessibility may differ.
  • Automated tests cannot find every barrier. If something does not work for you, please tell us.
